According to the 2020 census, 2,887 people live in the town.

The main economy is agriculture. Onions, tomatoes, strawberries, potatoes, corn, fruit, flowers and olive
trees are all grown here. Livestock farming is also present in the municipality, with beef and dairy cattle,
dairy products, beekeeping and fish farming.

As for artisanal units, we can mention the production of organic products derived from strawberries,
honey, beer, chocolate and handicrafts. The UNIKA Brewery has won awards and international
recognition.

The municipality also stands out for its tourism potential through gastronomy, agro-tourism, ecological
tourism and handicrafts.

Historically, the town preserves traces of German culture and the traditions of the muleteers.

Rancho Queimado preserves its traditional festivals: Strawberry Festival, Criollo Rodeo, Trooper Festival,
Stammtisch, Winter Festival, Religious Festivities, Public Dances, Sports Championships, Antique Car
Gathering and `Christmas of Lights`.
